Growing up in Gran Canaria and now residing in Berlin, Kalyma‘s personal journey is as interesting as his musical one. With his latest release 'Yaiza' on Solide Marc travels geographically and musically to southern regions for two reasons: 'Yaiza' is the southernmost township in Lanzarote and the identitically named track represents Kalyma's preference for rhythmical- and synth-driven music that surely is connected to the warmth of the aforementioned surrounding.

'Yaiza' portrays the picture of a rural landscape which is filled with little life depicted by the marching in bass line in the beginning of the track. But as soon as the lead-synth sets in the imagined place turns into a lively gathering that vanishes into thin air when the bass line stops.

Nandu's remix of 'Yaiza' emphasizes the deepness of the original's synth-melody and creates a rather minimalistic version that manages to keep the original's vibe but leads the track into a darker musical direction. 'Yaiza' is one track, shown from two different perspectives and taking you on several musical journeys!
